Sir Haute Monde is all that a civil servant shouldn’t be, but is groomed to be under the current system. He is the mascot for ghosts of Macaulays and Cornwallises that haunt the Indian Bureaucracy. Through his life, both civil servants and the public may identify, isolate and exorcise these malevolent spirits.
This website is, therefore dedicated to chronicling the many systemic dysfunctions of the ‘officer life’. It is based on experiences, testimonies and research. By laying bare these glitches of the system, the site aims to further the democratization and decolonization of the civil services.
